I can’t blame the housing for the lack of manners of their tenants with whom I lived for the last 3 years (not washing their hands after the toilet, not cleaning up, worms in the sink, feces stuck to the toilet…and so on). What I was most disappointed with is the housing's constant attempt to take your deposit money (€500) on an unfounded basis. During the final inventory check, the guy who was sent to inspect the room after I took a whole day to clean it claimed I didn’t wash the floors and that there was dust everywhere (there was NO DUST and I cleaned the floors 3 times with water and alcoholic vinegar the day before to make sure this situation doesn’t happen). The second thing that the guy did was claim that I lost the chair and that I took one from the kitchen, which is absolutely ridiculous. The chair in my room which I decorated with pink cushions when I came in is the same one that I left in my room before the final inventory check. Such a disappointing end to my stay. If you can, try to avoid this place.

In the beginning very helpful and friendly people that care about your well-being and try to help out whenever possible. Though my personal experience was not that great, occasionally being ignored or put on hold which required me to keep asking for help over and over. Even though I don't require to go there anymore (because I have already moved away), I still wanted to share my own experiences with it. All in all, the people there are very friendly. This may explain why they always try to do everything at once which results in a desorganised working environment...

outdated student accommodations. VUB is trying to fix a host of backlog problems, luckily this is one of them. new housing expected in 2018. photos pending.
