We hebben hier niet overnacht, gewoon iets gedronken op het terras. Toplocatie aan de grasbrug, veel passage. Schapenvachtjes en fleecedekens tegen de koude, de branders waren bijna leeg dus gaven amper warmte. Bediening was ok, ober had blijkbaar wel een minder dagje gezien hij op 5min tijd twee keer de bestelling kwam opnemen en vanalles liet vallen. Was meer bezig met zijn vrienden Beavis en Butthead die er ook zaten te drinken en voor gans het terras luidop zaten op te scheppen over hun amoureuze zattemansavonturen (''geile Zatte sletjes'', echt leuk om te volgen 🙄). Glühwein+ Irish coffee besteld. Mierzoet, glazen plakkerig. Normale prijs voor Gent. Sanitair bijzonder smerig, duidelijk dat hier niet naar omgekeken wordt. Er hing een affiche: 'wil je proper sanitair? Hou het dan zelf proper'... We hebben er niet gegeten, leek me ook niet echt aangewezen. Ergens waar je al terughoudend bent uw billen op de bril te planten... God weet hoe de keuken eruit ziet 🙈

This property is a one of a kind. The views are as “advertised”. The parking is an easy short walk. The room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The staff was great and helpful. Breakfast was nice. If a romantic and memorable room with an outstanding view atop a great restaurant in a fabulous location is your thing - Room with a View is the place. You do have to be able to deal with narrow tricky steps - but it is worth it ! See my photos below.

Arguably the best views in Ghent! The rooms are cozy, the service is great and the people are very kind & pleasant. And the picturesque exteriors you get to see from the rooms are just unbeatable! It gets even more spectacular at night with all the lights. Not many places can boast of such views. In spite of being in a busy place, it doesn't get noisy. Spending more than one night here is definitely recommended.

This is a great place to stay! We booked the room on the "first" floor for two nights and absolutely loved it. In our thinking the place is actually a nice local bar/restaurant with some more dining available and a couple of rooms. We ate breakfast and dinner there and were very happy with the food and service. The owner told us that the first floor starts with the largest room, and the rooms get slightly smaller as you go up. The reviews describe all you need to know very well. I should add that on Friday night, the guests at the restaurant below were noticeably noisy until about 2:00 on Saturday morning. Our booking did not include Saturday night, but on Thursday, I didn't notice any noise at all. Closing the windows blocked a lot of the notice. Now, on to parking.|Although parking was not included with the room rental, the hotel offers nearby parking. Reserve a spot if you can book it. Getting to the hotel and parking was complicated for us. First, we drove past but couldn't identify the hotel (we later learned that our route was forbidden unless we had a sticker). That got us a fine billed through the rental company like a toll, but it might be waivable. Then, we parked in an underground ramp a couple of blocks away and went on foot to find the hotel. After accomplishing that, as instructed by the hotel owner, we fetched our car, and she showed us how to park in her spot in a smaller parking garage very close to the hotel and get in and out again if we wanted to. We would stay here again and catch a quiet dinner at the restaurant.
