My wife and I were attending a friends wedding at Chateau Rigaud, the B&B was recommended by the couple and the Chateau and we were not disappointed. Travelling from Dubai to France, Vida the owner gave us the best welcome and we instantly felt at home! Vida is one most lovely people we have met, the house is a charming traditional French family home, all of the rooms are large with a fully equipped en suite! We even had a walk in wardrobe to store our luggage.||||I can’t praise Vida enough, she was excelleant and we really enjoyed spending time with her in her home, her local knowledge of the area and how the weddings at the Chateau are scheduled was a great help. The breakfast at the B&B is excellent, it was the best Irish breakfasts we have ever had and really set us for the day!||The B&B is in an ideal location, 5 minutes from the Chateau Rigaud and the local town and 15 minutes from the picturesque town of Saint-Emilion. ||||In the end we stayed with Vida for 3 days and she really contributed to a great holiday for us.

As per previous reviews my husband and I were also attending a wedding at Chateau Rigaud and the Gironde Chambres is one of the recommended guest houses. We were given a lovely welcome by our Irish hostess Vida. Our room was large with rustic charm, a very comfy bed and a good shower en suite and breakfast in true Irish style was plentiful and tasty!! The house was just 5 minutes from the Chateau but also from the charming town of Castillon where we ate out on a couple of nights at places recommended by Vida. ||Vida is very knowledgeable of the area and we were sad not to be able to get to St Emilion on this occasion but our stay has whetted our appetite for a return trip at some point.||Vida could not have done more for us and on one occasion really went the extra mile which was extremely generous. We thank her for her hospitality and would have no hesitation in recommending her lovely home to other travellers.

We were attending a wedding locally and Gironde Chambres was recommended. On arrival, Vida, the owner, made us feel instantly welcome and at home. Nothing is too much trouble and Vida certainly goes that extra mile to make everyone's stay very comfortable. We stayed with two other couples attending the wedding and we had a wonderful time. Vida's Irish breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Certainly no complaints from our group. Would certainly recommend Gironde Chambres and Vida's warm hospitality.

We stayed at Gironde Chambres for 3 nights as we were attending a friends wedding in Château Rigaud (which was only a 2 min drive). Our host was absolutely brilliant!! We got a gorgeous 'full-Irish' breakfast each morning. The rooms were lovely and rustic. Very comfortable sleep. We were given great towns/restaurants/wine yards to visit and we were not let down by any of them!!! 🙂 I highly recommend this place to anybody......you won't be disappointed!!!!

If we could give 5 stars plus we would! My sister and I stayed with Vida, the owner of this gem of a B & B for 4 nights for a wedding at a nearby chateau. We loved it! Vida could not have been more welcoming and her home is delightful. The whole house is spotlessly clean, neat and tidy, the bed could not have been more comfortable and the bed linens and towels of the highest quality. We enjoyed sitting in her pretty garden and having chats with her and being advised where to go to eat and what to go and look at in the surrounding area. A delicious cooked breakfast is on offer or a continental breakfast is provided. Vida very kindly made restaurant bookings for us and even offered to act as a taxi for us if we didn’t want to drive ourselves to and from our party celebrations. She could not be kinder or more caring and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a cozy friendly comfortable spotlessly clean charming B & B in this beautiful area of France.

A wonderful little B and B with amazing hospitality. We were attending a wedding just around the corner at Chateau Riguad, so it was a perfect location. Vida was a great host, doing whatever she could to ensure we had a lovely time and always on hand to offer suggestions or ideas. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay and a massive Irish breakfast then I would not hesitate in suggesting Gironde Chambres.

I had the pleasure of staying at Gironde Chambres last year. I was attending the wedding of a cousins daughter. My room was spacious and airy. The entire B&B is a very pleasant place to spend some time. The full English breakfast is overwhelming, so bring your appetite. The owner is very knowledgeable of the area and very helpful.

My only wish was that I had company in this romantic wonderland.
