Belle étape dans cette jolie maison décorée avec soin et raffinement par la propriétaire. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis et avons passé une nuit paisible avant d'attaquer le Chemin de Saint Jacques. Le petit déjeuner était généreux et délicieux.

Le jardin est impeccablement entretenu, la maison est arrangée et tenue avec soin et Mme Bajo est d'une bienveillance, d'une chaleur et d'une gentillesse rarement rencontrées. Elle est affable, présente tout en étant discrète et délicieusement attentionnée. La suite est spacieuse, tout comme la salle de bain. Le petit déjeuner est généreux (yaourt et confitures maison, croissants, pain frais, jus d'orange pressé sur place...) et présenté avec goût.||Point qui peut en rassurer certains, votre voiture sera garée dans le jardin dont le portail est fermé la nuit.||Enfin, la literie est de qualité et nul bruit n'a perturbé notre sommeil. Une adresse a découvrir donc les yeux fermés 😉

Accueil très agréable et lieu très calme.||La suite est remarquable et très spacieuse. Nous avons eu droit à un petit thé à notre arrivée.||Un petit bémol sur l'insonorisation....mais c'est une chambre dans une maison et pas un hôtel, donc on accepte.||Petit déjeuné très copieux

The owner used to be an interior decorator... and it shows in the decor ! I loved the way everything was set out. She is Spanish from Pamplona and so for myself, I found it easier to converse, as I speak Spanish better than my schoolboy French. If you do not speak French or Spanish, it could be a problem.||||Sallespisse is a small hamlet, but I quickly located the premises since there is a sign outside, and the house is directly opposite the school on the main road.||||There is ample room for parking, and as with all small villages, there is no worry about security. In fact, the front door is left unlocked throughout the day.||||The bedroom was tastefully decorated, and stylish. There is no en-suite bathroom, but it is located directly opposite the bedroom... and is massive... so plenty of space for the family to get ready in the morning together.||||The town of ORTHIZ is located close by, and is easy to find, literally five minutes drive. I had little difficulty in locating a nice restaurant. ||||Breakfast is taken in a light and bright glass surrounded dining room overlooking the gardens. I was the only guest that night and Madame had prepared a really nice breakfast, which sustained me throughout the day.||||My room had a balcony with table and chairs, which was a perfect spot for me to smoke, rather than standing outside as in hotels.||||I will certainly stay there again.
