This accommodation is set in a large hedged garden area, separate, but adjacent to the garden of the main house. Set up as a pine hunting-lodge it offers more space and comfort than most B&Bs. There is a well-stocked fridge full of soft drinks, beers and wines which can be paid for on departure. Also a TV, coffee machine, kettle and beautiful bathroom. There is excellent air conditioning, and even an open fire, should you need one. The garden contains ample seating, and there is also an allocated parking space. We were greeted on arrival with complementary cake and chocolates. Breakfast is brought to you each morning at a pre arranged time, and included fruit, yoghurt, tea, coffee, pastries, breads, cheeses, meats, pancakes and an omelette; all delicious. Katrien, your hostess, is friendly and helpful but also respects her guests' privacy. Set in picturesque farmland, it is a forty minute walk to the Dutch border - a lovely morning stroll and a great way to watch the sun rise. We loved our stay and can't recommend it enough!

On a two month trip cycling around northern Europe we happened upon this place as somewhere to stay between Bruges and Antwerp. We did not realise how much of a treat we were in for.||The accommodation is a wooden lodge set in the grounds of the owner's property. It is a very quaint wooden lodge with a deer's head on the wall, wood and animal skin rugs with a big double bed set into the wall. The garden is beautiful and has Sun loungers and a table and chairs in the beautifully kept garden. This is the perfect place to lounge in this 26 degree heat. ||The area is a small provincial town in Belgium, 5 miles from the border with the Netherlands. The scenery is fields, trees and gorgeous open areas of natural beauty. There are many butterflies, birds and bumblebees. ||The hostess (Katrina) is a wonderful woman, very hospitable and kind. We were greeeted on arrival and shown the property, there is a well stocked mini-bar with soft drinks, beers and wines which is reasonably priced. We were asked what time we wanted breakfast and we said 08:30. Right on cue we were greeted by a basket filled with breads, cheeses, homemade pancakes, fresh-squeezed Orange juice, fruit and yoghurts (it would have also contained meats, but we are vegetarian). There were also homemade jams and on the second morning apple juice made from the apples in the garden. It is one of the most delightful breakfasts I have ever had. ||The area around here there isn't much to do, but you don't need a bustling metropolis when it is this beautiful. There is a town 5 miles away with a spar and several restaurants. This seems to be Mussel country, as every restaurant sold mussels (I think Moules Marnier might have been invented around here). As vegetarians this wasn't quite up our alley, but we decided to order a pizza, they said they did not deliver on Mondays. Katrina then said she would drive to get our pizza for us and would not even accept petrol money, that is what I call customer service! She also has a charming dog and a husband Dirk, whom we met briefly who is also very nice.||I would reccomend this to anyone and everyone who enjoys a laid back and lovely time in a beautiful part of the world. For cyclists it is great around here as it is very flat and the roads are smooth and well kept (warning: there are areas with cobblestones!) Thanks for the hospitality and beautiful property, if we are ever in this part of the world again we will be back!

Heel warme ontvangst en gewoon een prachtige, gezellige B&B! Apart huisje dat mooi is ingericht met veel privacy en luxe! Ook heel romantische setting en je wordt erg in de watten gelegd! Echt een aanrader en we komen zeker terug! 😊👍

Nice place to get away for a weekend. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast with home made bread, jams, juice etc. Nice private garden. Thanks for your hospitality.

Een hemels verblijf, gewoonweg aan "alles" gedacht, tot in de puntjes verzorgd! |En dat alles met een super lieve gastvrouw , die ons bij het ontbijt heeft verwend met zelfgemaakte warme wafels, appelsap van eigen kweek en met een zelfgemaakt confituren assortiment en nog zoveel meer .... komen ZEKER nog terug om er nog meer van te kunnen genieten ! |Hartelijk dank , |Ellen & Philip

Dit is een B&B met een zeer hoog Feng Shui gehalte niet enkel door het super gezellig huisje en inrichting maar ook dankzij de (h)eerlijke gastvrijheid van Dirk & Katrien. Zonder twijfel een 5 stars quality label!

Heel mooie b&b en een zeer lieve dame een prachtige omgeving om te verkennen zeker voor mensen die graag wandelen of fietsen . Er is ook een hottub aanwezig dus als je wil ontspannen ben je hier zeker aan het juiste adres

Fanntastische 3 dagen in Hemel en Haard. Sympathieke ontvangst. Veel info voor leuke uitstapjes te maken. Een ongelofelijk ontbijt. Wij gaan zeker terug !!!
